WELCOME TO
COCOA & COCONUT

Cocoa for the diaspora.
For the depth, the richness, the stories shaped
far from home, but never disconnected from it.
Coconut for the Caribbean.
For the warmth, the ease, the softness of island
life.

Mission

Cocoa & Coconut exists to tell Caribbean stories with depth, beauty and care.

We spotlight the women, makers, thinkers and culture-shapers moving the Caribbean forward – while creating a space where diaspora voices remain connected to home.

Through original features, interviews, cultural commentary and community storytelling, we exist to do one thing:
Celebrate Caribbean life in all its softness, brilliance and complexity.

Meet The Team

Founder & Editor

Michaela Miller

I created Cocoa & Coconut to build the kind of Caribbean publication I longed to see — thoughtful, beautiful, culturally rooted and expansive.

Through journalism, storytelling and community, I want this space to honour Caribbean women and the stories too often overlooked.

Favourite island indulgence I could have forever?

Saltfish and johnny cakes… without question.
